EUIJ TSUDA Open Lecture "The EU and Regionalism" The 12th Lecture
"EU under the World-Wide Economic Crisis

The 12th EUSI/EUIJ TSUDA Open Lecture, titled 'EU under the World Wide Economic Crisis', was held on the 3rd October 2009 at Tsuda Umeko Hall, Kodaira Campus.
The first speaker, Ms. Saori NAKASONE, Senior Research Officer, EU Delegation to Japan, gave her lecture on "EU Economic Crisis and the Green New Deal". The second speaker, Mr. Akira MATSUI, Visiting Professor of Kyorin University, gave his lecture on "The EU Economic Crisis and the Situation in Eastern Europe and Central Asia".
There were 32 Participants, including students of universities in the EUSI/EUIJ consortium, academics, and members of the public. Many questions were asked of the speakers both in and after the presentations.
Feedback from the audience was extremely positive with the speakers' expertise in diplomacy and EU studies coming in for special praise.
